Albert Sailing Club is organising a four-week Junior Green Fleet program during Term 2 of 2019.
The program is scheduled for 1:30 pm to 4 pm on Saturdays
11th ,18th and 25th of May, and 1st June 2019. (15th June reserve day if required).
It is for juniors aged from 8 to 13 yo who have completed the Tackers Programs (all 3 levels) or a similar learn to sail program. The options will be to sail an ASC plastic Ozi Opti, an ASC International Optimist or your own International Optimist or Minnow boat. A sail or two in a club double handed boat during the program is a possibility
Expressions of Interest are being sought at his time via the Registration link below. The program is subject to a reasonable water level for sailing on Albert Park Lake. Following a very dry late summer/ early Autumn the lake is at mid April unsuitable
An email with a link to confirm Registration and pay for program will be forwarded when the water level returns to a reasonable for sailing and the program is confirmed. The fees per session for ASC members and winter associates will be : $30 to sail your own Optimist or Minnow $35 to sail an ASC plastic Ozi Opti $40 to sail an ASC International Optimist boat (three available on a first in basis).
The full program is for four sessions. A three sessions option can be made available if required.
There will be a coach who will be an accredited instructor from the Boatshed, using a curriculum program defined by ASC training centre with Boatshed input.
(*) Non members who meet criteria will need to apply through the ASC website to join the club as an annual full year member (Join the Club tab) or if a member of another club as a winter associate May to September ( Sailing - Winter season tab).
