    Albert Sailing Club is organising a six-week "non-competitive" Green Fleet programme  during Term 4.

    The programme will run from 1 pm to 4 pm on following 6 Saturdays

    October 14th,21st and 28th  and November 11th, 18th, 25th.

    It is catered for juniors aged from 8 to 12 yo in Ozi Opti who have who have completed the Tackers Programmes (all 3 levels) or a similar learn to sail programme.

    The fees are $165 for the full programme for junior members. (*)

    The coach will be an accredited instructor of The Boatshed and the juniors will be using Boatshed 's Optimists or own Optimist/Minnow.

    (*) Non members will need to apply, in addition to the Green Fleet fees, to a full junior one year- membership ($145, no joining fee) , which will give them access to club's boat hire ,races, social events and all year training programs for the duration of their membership.

    2017 Discover Sailing Public Open Day 

    Between 11am to 4pm on Sunday 15 October come and visit Albert Sailing Club on northern end of Albert Park Lake.  For people of all ages from 4 year old to seniors, and all ages between.  Register for this free (no cost) activity using the Register link below. Late Registrations on the day possible.

    What happens on the Day ?
    * Club members will take people for a sail in a club training boat on Albert Park Lake. Option of solo sail for any adults who have sailed before and for juniors, subject to weather conditions.

    Busiest activity period usually up until 1pm including specific activities for juniors. Members on hand to discuss Learn to Sail courses, with next commencing on Sunday 29 October. Also information on volunteer roles, membership options, buying a boat, and a tour of club facilities.

    When not sailing relax and enjoy some of the best views in Melbourne from the club's decking overlooking Albert Park Lake or take a walk around the Lake. BBQ food and drinks available at club from late morning.

    Location and Transport options
    Albert Sailing Club is at 1 Aquatic Drive, South Melbourne. Melways Map 2K G5.

    Car parking at rear for $2.60 all or part day. Best access is via Steel Gates on corner Clarendon Street and Albert Road. Road closures till 10.45/11am due to Melbourne Marathon running event. Can also park  150 metres or so away in service lane of Albert Road at no cost, no morning road closure.

    Come by tram via route 12 tram from City to Clarendon Street/Albert Road or a St Kilda Road tram to Domain interchange stop. Or ride in by bike.

    On Saturday 28th October Albert Sailing Club and the Victorian Laser Association (VLA) are conducting a Laser Activate Day at Albert Sailing Club on Albert Park Lake. (This is rescheduled day from mid September blowout).
     Open to members of Albert Sailing Club and members of other sailing clubs at all ages and levels of experience. Any ASC members requiring a club Laser should indicate such under Comments on the Registration form, with first in given first preference.
        No cost to participate. Register via link to assist with planning.

    Arrive 9am and have boats rigged for 9.30 kickoff.
    In morning experienced Victorian Laser sailors will provide a rigging clinic, on-water tips and advice, de-briefs.
    Afternoon briefing session, followed by ASC club race(s) and/or training exercises. 
    Club Galley at lunchtime, and Refreshments Bar after sailing.

    Learn to Sail Spring 2017 program
    Course takes place on Sunday 29 October (, Saturday 11 November (am), Saturday 18 November (am), Sunday 26 November (am, pm), Saturday 2 December (am)       

    (am 9.30 - 12.30 ; pm 1.00 - 4.30)

    Learn to Sail on Albert Park Lake in popular  2 or 3 person Pacers and junior Ozi Optis, with option for progression to single-handed Sabre and Laser class boats.  

    For adults, youth (13 to 18 years of age) and juniors (8 to 13 years).
    Sailing Australia curriculum delivered by club's accredited lead instructors.

    Course is provided for club members, with course fee covered by Membership  Fee.

    To register for this course the person being registered will need to be a member of Albert Sailing Club or in process of completing Club Membership Application.
