    As you might be aware, Albert Sailing Club is running a free non-competitive introduction to racing programme for the club's junior members.

    Paul, who is leading this event, is adding two new sessions.It is open to all our junior members.No need to have participated in the previous sessions.

    When? On Saturday 7th & 14th April (on the water at 11 am till 12 pm).

    The goal is to introduce our youngest sailors to the allure of racing with a focus on getting across a start line and sailing a designated course.

    Minor achievement awards (Allen’s Snakes Alive) will be offered.

    Supervision and coaching

    On the water, club's volunteers will supervise and coach the juniors.

    Off the water, parents will be expected to assist with rigging and with packing up; sailors must be on the water at 11 am for start of the race.

    Level of sailing catered

    Juniors aged from 8 to 12 yo who have completed the Tackers Programmes (all 3 levels) or a similar learn to sail programme and the current Green Fleet junior members.


    Own boat (Minnow/Opti) or club Ozi Opti (Tacker)


    Free - Limited to 5 sailors per session. First in, first served! So, enrol now by selecting the days you want to join.

    Albert Sailing Club (ASC) will host a Easter School Holiday Sailing Programme

    on Wednesday 4th to Friday 6th April 2018 (9:30 am to 3pm).

    Who will be coaching? The Boatshed Instructors.

    What level of sailing will be catered for? Juniors aged from 8 to 16 yo , beginner and experienced sailors.

    Is this for ASC members only? No

    Do you need your own boat? No,option of hiring ASC Ozi Opti class boat ( 8/13 yo) or Laser 4.7 (13/16 yo with some sailing experience).

    Can your boat be stored at ASC during the programme? Yes, just tick the box in the online registration form.

    Parent/Guardian supervision will be required to help the kids off-the water. However a parents' roster will be organised so that you don't have to stay the entire time.

    Juniors bring their own lunch + comfy clothes to sail .

    Programme Costs :

    Course fee for the 3 days :

    • $130 for ASC junior members
    • $145 for other juniors

    Boat hire for the 3 days :

    • $20 for ASC junior member
    • $45 for other juniors

    Extra : $25 for juniors not member of a sailing club.
