Better Sailing program February 2020

Albert Sailing Club has scheduled a 2 week Better Sailing Programme for those who have completed a Learn to Sail or equivalent program and who want to further improve their sailing skills.

The course will briefly re-visit some of the skills covered in the Learn to Sail course and then cover better sailing topics : Sailing to windward ; and Sail setting for different points of sailing and different conditions.

When is it?

Sunday 2nd February, 9.30 to 12 noon, with option to stay on for casual sailing and/or BYO lunch on club balcony.
Saturday 8th February 9.30am to 12 noon, with option to stay on for casual sailing and/or BYO lunch on club balcony.
Potentially a further half day or two sessions depending on demand.

Participants need to Register using Register button below. You can register for both weeks or one of the weeks,

Boats and instructor?

• Two handed/single handed club training boats (Zest and Pacer) and club allocated or your own single handed (Sabre and Laser) training boats. Club boats allocated at start of each session.
• Don McKenzie (ASC training centre principal and assistants as required).

Participants?

This programme is targeting ASC and APYC adult club members, and we are accepting between 6 and 12 participants. There will be a reserve list once the limit of 12 is reached.

Anyone who is not a current member should email training@albertsc.org.au to enquire about program enrolment. If program place is available then an annual or temporary membership + boat hire would apply

One person per registration. 

Program fees:

• Boat hire fee of $20 per boat, payable on the day with completion of Boat Hire form. Payment arrangements to be advised close to date of first session.
