Program participants need to have completed Tackers Programs (3 levels) or a similar learn to sail program. They may or may not have completed a previous green fleet program. Most participants will use a club provided plastic "Ozi Opti boat" and club provided life jacket, and all will have use of club facilities. The Green Fleet program aims to develop skills and enjoyment of sailing a single handed junior boat with other children at a similar age and level. Mainly"non-competitive" , with on-water and shore based instruction from an accredited instructor from the Albert Park Boatshed. There may be a short green fleet race or two in latter weeks.
The program fees are : * $160 for 5 weeks in an ASC plastic Ozi Opti. $140 if sailing own junior Optimist boat or similar. * $130 for 4 of 5 weeks sailing ASC Ozi Opti or $110 with own boat.
Option of 1 week Green Fleet trial for $40 on February 1st and will then have option to register for other 4 weeks of the program via an additional registration.
Club Membership fees No additional membership fee apply for juniors who are current ASC (and APYC) club members
Juniors who are not a junior member or part of a family membership of Albert Sailing Club ( or APYC) need to take out as part of Registration either: (1) pro-rata ASC junior membership to end September 2020 at $100 or (2) temporary junior membership of ASC to end April 2020 at $50.
