First Aid Course Spring 2025

  

Senior First Aid (level 2)  and CPR courses

    Albert Sailing Club has contracted an experience, accredited first aid course instructor to deliver a Senior First Aid (level 2)  course on Sunday 21 September. 

The course will entail :

* online First Aid learning to be completed prior to attending course day.

* participation in course session 9.00am to 4.00pm on 21 September at Albert Sailing Club clubrooms.

Albert Sailing club will cover cost for ASC club members.

Non ASC members pay by cash or bank transfer on the day.

 COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Provide First Aid incl. CPR (HTLAID003)

Previously titled Senior First Aid, This  course gives the skills and knowledge to provide First Aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, in situations, including in the home, workplace or within the community, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. Includes CPR module. The first aid skills are renewed every three years and CPR skills every 12 months. 

Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (HLTAID001)
This course provides the skills to recognise and then manage a casualty who is unconscious and is not breathing. CPR is a lifesaving technique which can sustain life until an ambulance arrives. Recommendation is for recertification of CPR skills every 12 months.
